Brabander Kevin Jochems wins the Hoefslag Prize
The opening class of the CSI5*, the Hoefslag Prize, went straight to a rider from Brabant. Kevin Jochems rode Looks Good de Liebri Z clear in the two phases in a super time of 22.78 seconds. Runner up was Swedish world champion Henrik von Eckermann with the Holstein mare Hannah Zoe Quality who clocked off the second phase in 22.98 seconds.
Kevin Jochems: "Looks Good e Liberia Z is only nine years old and this is his first 5* competition. I have been riding him since he was seven. He is naturally very fast, I rode fluent and fast but I felt it could be even faster. Looks Good de Liebry Z I will ride in the 1 .45m classes this we weekend. I came to Indoor Brabant as a six-year-old with my parents and back then it was my dream to ride here one day. So I am super happy that I can ride at The Dutch Masters because, despite the fact that I currently have my stable in Belgium, it still feels like a home competition. Victory is of course the icing on the cake."
