Piet Raijmakers wins opening class

"If you want to win them all you have to start with the first one". Piet Raijmakers shot over the 1.40m course like an arrow with his 12-year-old mare Van Schijndel's Olaya Z in the first international show jumping class at The Dutch Masters. With a clear second phase in 22.45 seconds, he narrowly stayed ahead of his compatriot Henk van de Pol with Cayenne de Clarence. "Van Schijndel's Olaya Z just has everything to win a class like this. She is fast, agile, super careful and she thinks along. As a Brabander, you just have to go for it in Den Bosch. And all the better if that results in a win." Third place was for Swiss Martin Fuchs and The Sinner.
