Trijtje Oosterhuis performs at The Dutch Masters

Renowned Dutch singer Trijntje Oosterhuis will give two performances at The Dutch Masters on Sunday afternoon. She will sing the national anthem live before the start of the Rolex Grand Prix and the song, ‘That's what friends are for’, just before the award ceremony.
Trijntje Oosterhuis broke through in the 1990s with her brother Tjeerd Oosterhuis as Total Touch. Her big breakthrough followed when she sang the song ‘De Zee’ during the opening of the Johan Cruijff Arena in the now-famous red dress. In the years that follow, Trijntje emerges as one of the most versatile artists in the Netherlands. She just as easily sings a pop song with Total Touch as a Dutch-language duet with Marco Borsato or songs by Stevie Wonder. As a solo artist, she has worked with Toots Thielemans, Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Lionel Richie, John Ewbank, Carel Kraayenhof, Janine Jansen, Candy Dulfer and she is also one of the Ladies of Ladies of Soul.
Together with the Metropole Orkest, she recorded three albums with the repertoire of master composer Burt Bacharach, who even provided new song material for these albums and with whom Trijntje performed several times on stage at home and abroad. The musical friendship between Trijntje and Burt lasted until his death in 2023.
More than 25 years in the business earned Trijntje many Awards and prestigious Pop prizes.
The Rolex Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon thus gets a wonderful beginning and end with this performance.
